BaneBots makes some of the most trusted wheels in combat robotics — grippy, durable, and available in a range of designs, sizes, and hardnesses to match any weight class and arena surface. ItGresa Robotics was one of the first official BaneBots distributors, and we've been running their wheels in our own beetleweight combat robots for years. We carry them because we trust them.
BaneBots wheels' treads are made from a flexible rubber compound that conforms to the floor surface, delivering more grip and traction than rigid wheels. The hardness of the tread, measured in Shore A durometer, determines how grippy the wheel is. Softer wheels (10A yellow, 20A purple) grip more aggressively; harder wheels (50A blue, 60A black) are more durable and slide more predictably. Choosing the right durometer is one of the key tuning decisions for any combat robot drivetrain. Compliant wheel designs offer even more grip than standard.
The T81 is BaneBots' proven beetleweight and larger wheel — wider, heavier, and built for the current demands of 3lb and bigger drive systems. The T61 is the current-generation small wheel, designed in partnership with the combat robotics community to fill the gap left when the original T40 tooling was lost. The T61 brings the square hub design of the T81 into a thinner, lighter package — perfect for fairyweights, antweights, and lighter beetleweight builds. The T40 remains available while stock lasts as a legacy option for builders who know and love it.
BaneBots wheels and hubs are sold separately — match your wheel diameter and durometer to your bot's needs, then select the hub for your motor shaft size. Hubs are available for shaft sizes from 3mm to 1/4 inch.
